Atlanta-based,
PierceMartin is continuously setting new standards as a "Professional Design Resource" by
offering upscale wicker, rattan, and iron furnishings, as well
as an extensive selection of fine
Asian antiques and one-of-a-kind objects from the Far East. The
company under the direction of Joe Blount and Chip Cheatham reflects
the
particular passions of its founders. With over 35 years combined
experience operating
in the Pacific Rim, Blount and Cheatham have established solid
working relationships overseas with their vendors based on honesty,
trust,
and understanding. The partners have been cultivating PierceMartin's distinctive viewpoint for over ten years, combining various remarkable artifacts from the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Hong Kong with their own line of hand-crafted wicker, rattan, and iron furniture. Blount and Cheatham each bring to PierceMartin a distinguished background in design. Blount attended Sotheby's prestigious "19th and 20th Century Decorative Works of Art" course in London, and returned to Atlanta in 1985 to establish the successful Wynfield House Antiques. Cheatham, trained in interior design, began working with PierceMartin's predecessor Rattanworks in 1979, designing and developing manufactured lines of wicker and rattan, as well as hand-forged iron furniture in Southeast Asia.
